A mother commits to verse to explain her young daughter’s battle to breathe.
BREATHE IN, BREATHE OUT!
Breathe in breathe out, its easy as can be, but I listened and thought “hey it’s not for me”,
My lungs are heavy and need a rest, it feels like an elephant sat on my chest,
I want to dance, jump and run, but my illness is saying your not having fun!
You need to breathe you silly thing, but whilst I’m not working I shan’t let you sing,
So breathe in and breathe out as deeply as can be, it should be simple but not for me.
But each day “I’ll try as hard as can be, to breathe in and breathe out, my illness won’t beat me”.
